Why me

Virtual Personal Assistant |Turning Chaos into Structure | The Blue Structure

I solve problems.

I am a born Personal Assistant. It just took some time to discover my talent. A road marked by chance and coincidence.

By doing volunteer work only to discover I love organising and helping people and being really good at it. By studying Philosophy and discovering studying is not for me. By looking for a job and discovering that working as a Personal Assistant ticks all of those boxes. Looking back it seems logical. I was always the one (re-)organising all social events anyway, from school parties to holidays & events with family and friends.

And there it started, my journey as an assistant. With the goal to be an Executive Assistant at a multinational at the age of 40. And then, when I turned 35, I was.

Now what?

I still love my work and wouldn’t change a thing. Only then my life changed enormously: from being a happy single for years I met my better half and suddenly turned into a happy (step)mom, (co-parenting) 4 beautiful children, a dog and a cat.

And although I loved my job I was ready for a new challenge.  My job was organised to perfection  and I was looking forward to stop losing valuable time in traffic every day. Time that I could better spend with my family or working.

After much soul searching I realised I wanted it all. And that the only way to achieve that was to become a Virtual Assistant (VA).  I can be so much more efficient and energetic. Combining my work & private life by working location independent and virtual.

This way I can work for multiple people, as many hours as they need me, at times they need me.

Specialties: Keeping my cool under pressure and being someone you can rely on when you’re on a tight deadline.

Less important things about me:

  • I like whisky and amazing amounts of tea;

  • I send at least one postcard a week;

  • I don't like scary movies;

  • I am a blue-eyed structure lover.

I love being outside, preferably on my bike and cannot live without my garden, family and friends, always combined with well prepared food .

"services must be structured so as to avoid pitfalls"

The color blue is the color of trust and responsibility. It reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order - we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky.
